I have started seeing MCP pop up between apps - not just agents - in modern app architectures.
I have déjà vu. We’ve seen this movie before, just with middleware and ESBs.
The promise was to tame heterogeneity, reduce point‑to‑point chaos, and centralize governance.
It worked…and sold well…until it didn’t. The opportunity with MCP is real, but so are the risks ......
